This page explains how to ask us to delete your account and the data held about you in Origin E Madarsa, exactly what is removed, what we must keep, and how long it takes.
How to request deletion
You can use either route. Both work.
Option 1 — ask your madarsa administrator
The fastest route. Your madarsa controls its own records and can delete a student or staff account directly from the admin panel, straight away.
Option 2 — email us directly
- Send an email to info@originsoftwares.com
- Use the subject line: Data deletion request — Origin E Madarsa

In the message include:
- The name of your madarsa
- The name of the account holder or student
- The email address or enrollment ID used in the app
- Whether you want the whole account deleted or only specific records
- We reply within 7 working days to confirm your identity, since we must not delete a child's records on the word of someone unconnected to them.
- Once confirmed, deletion is completed within 30 days and we email you when it is done.
What gets deleted
When an account is deleted we permanently remove:

| Personal details | Father's name, date of birth, age, phone number, address |
| Photos | Any profile or student photo uploaded |
| Quran progress | Qaida, Nazeera and Hifz records, allotments and milestones |
| Attendance | All attendance history for that person |
| Exam records | Evaluations, ratings and results |
| Device data | Push notification token, so notifications stop immediately |
What we keep, and for how long

| Fee and payment records | Madaris must keep financial records for accounting and audit. These are kept in the madarsa's books, with the personal details removed where possible. | Up to 7 years, then deleted |
| Backups | Deleted data can briefly remain in encrypted backups until they cycle out in the normal course. | Up to 90 days |
Nothing kept is used for any purpose beyond the accounting obligation above. It is never sold, shared or used for marketing.
Deleting the app only
Uninstalling the app from your phone removes it from that device but does not delete your records from our servers. To have your data removed you must make a request using one of the routes above.
